Position 1 Thrift Shop Manager
Position type: Contract
Hours: Up to 28 hours per week plus the 1st Saturday of the month from October to May
Duties include management of all aspects of the Thrift Shop - to sort and price donated items, display items on shop shelves, operate cash register when needed, complete Cash Count and Daily Accountability sheet, make bank deposit and have change on hand for cash register, ensure shop is kept neat and clean. Purchase supplies needed for Thrift Shop, supervise other independent contractors (cashier, donation sorter), coordinate volunteers and maintain Thrift Shop website and Facebook page.
Thrift Shop Manager is expected to be available during sales hours, generally Wednesday and Friday and the first Saturday of the month, 09:30 to 1:30 plus additional hours to complete management duties which is presumed will require 28 hours/week total. Hours have some flexibility. Shop is closed on all Federal Holidays, Okaloosa County School Holidays and from 1 July – school opening in August.
Start date: Training to start immediately, take lead in March
Pay: Depends on experience
